Made my first trek ever to a crash site today. I didn't locate the exact site, but was very close by matching site photos to topography. I did find what appears to be a hydraulic actuator/piston with the following markings: Bendix Products Div of Bendix Aviation Corp South Bend, Ind Made in U.S.A. Wondering if this could be from the Blackbird. I can supply photos & coordinates where I found the part. I'm wondering how close I got to the exact site on my first try. I plan to try again eventually.
