Hi! This is my first posting. I also love to watch aircraft at the spot north of Nellis border. When the wind is calm, they use runway 03 for Red Flag launch and then change to runway 21 for the recovery. If you are lucky, you can enjoy both departures and arrivals from the same spot.

However, rumor goes that DoD has purchased huge area north of the base including this spot and plans to build a fence. I hope this is just another rumor.

Has any of you been to Nellis since Sep.11?
