In the summer of 1994, a friend of mine and I stayed overnight atop Freedom Ridge. The cammo dudes watched us all night long from their pickup truck just inside the border. Early Saturday morning, I was looking at the base from a lawn chair when I heard, "Hey, you!" I turned my head toward the direction of the sound. the dude then yelled, "Get a f*&^%$ life!" I pointed toward him and silently mouthed, "Same to you."
