Sonic booms were common at Nellis while I was there.....Usually the XB-70 or the YF-12/SR-71(it was black)....

Around Nellis and Nellis Range today a boom from an enthusiastic young pilot or a test vehicle can still be heard.....

Noise regulations in recent years has pretty much done away with "booms".......Ashame, I always thought they were cool!
