Rick, I am from Illinois also and can't answer the whole question but I believe the T-birds practice over Nellis right before the show season begins because they are reviewed by the ACC commander who approves the show for the season. This occurs at Nellis shortly before the first show on the road. Of course they practice over Nellis in the fall for the Nellis airshow which is their last show of the season. I believe all other practices at home are done at Creech.....
