#1 is easy, the photo caught a Janet in final approach to Rwy 14 flying over the lake bed. As for the ghost image, I first thought it was a shadow on the ground, but the location in reference to the 737 does not make sense when you look at the shadows of some of the taller buildings. Maybe a ghost image from whatever process they are using to generate the satellite photos?

As for #2, all I can say is that the runway was moved some time between summer of 2007 and 2009. I can only speculate, but perhaps it was just to bring it closer to the base, for shorter taxi distance?
