I can see a nebulous connection - stealth coatings - angular radar surface calculations - possibly being helpful in the design of the J-20 - giving them a leg up on the principals behind LO. Google Earth photos of an F-117 mockup in China proved the Chinese were attempting to build at least a one-of copy for analysis - and that alone may have spurred the recent de-mothballing of certain F-117s ( for radar cross section measuring) against U.S. radars to ascertain what China was up to - but I'm more inclined to think recent breeches in Skunkworks security- plans being snuggled out (and including of the F-35) may have been a big help in accelerating the J-20 program. If the J-20 is based on F-117 tech - it's already obsolete.
