Hi all! I have been a lurker of this site for some time now. I usually do not have the expertise to post, but this topic sort of falls into my area of knowledge. Mercuric Bromide can be a shock sensitive explosive when mixed properly and, since chemical names in German or Dutch seem backwards to Americans, this could be the Brommerck that is described in the cable. Also this Brommerck name could be some sort of abbreviation or trade name for the compound. I also just want to say the the release of these cables by wikileaks makes angry. Yes we all want to know, but at the same time this corrupts the security of the Country we all love.
