The HAVE BLUE airframes were buried at Groom Lake at a time when it was not anticipated that they would be declassified anytime soon, if ever. As it turns out, most information about HAVE BLUE was eventually declassified on 31 December 1990.

There have been attempts to locate the buried aircraft in order to restore one of them for display. Knowledgeable sources believe they were buried under an area that now has a road paved over it.
