True. But I am unaware of any organization permanently identifiable with former members as the FWS and that patch are. All services have patches but they almost always reflect their current units. If Top Gun has a patch it not as easily recognizable as a weapon school patch. No matter where they are assigned or what job the are doing, Weapon School Grads will wear that patch if it's within regs to do so (maybe sometimes when it isn't :) As for calling them Patches, it's easier than saying Intel Weapons Officer or Weapon School Grad...
