If you want to see some tall hangars with high doors, take a look at Hangars 1623 and 1600 at Edwards AFB. Both were built long before the Shuttle/747 piggyback combo was introduced and neither have ever been used for mating aircraft one atop the other.

The largest hangar at Edwards South Base (Hangar 151) was built for the B-2 and has never housed anything taller than a 747 (the YAL-1A Airborne Laser Testbed). Just southeast of this building is Hangar 156, a much shorter building that comfortably holds a B-2.
