I heard that the ruins along Gephart Road were from a Garrett AiResearch facility in support of the Lockheed CL-400 SUNTAN aircraft proposal. Garrett proposed an engine based on liquid hydrogen. The site a few miles north of Highway 58 is supposedly where they tested the engine and performed cryogenic testing of components in a liquid hydrogen environment.
