That was me, with a TV crew on Tikaboo Peak, doing a special for the Learning Channel (due to come out this winter). The plane did a slow fly-by, and banked right in front of us so we were able to see both bottom and top of it. It looked so much like an ordinary F-117 that only when it was too late we realized that it was something else. Mostly based on comparing its size with the F-15 chase plane. Also, I remember thinking that the canopy looked different (somewhat more streamlined) than I remembered the F-117's canopy. Two TV cameras and a telescope were set up in plain sight, and we had used wireless mikes for interviews earlier. So there is no doubt they knew we were up there. As you said, it had "Kodak Moment" written all over it...
