I just finished reading a book called "Top Secret Tourism" (Harry Helms, 2007). There as a chapter on TTR which reads partly as follows: "In addition to its isolation, the citizens of nearby Tonopah were reticent to talk about the strange aircraft they saw cruising their nightime skies. It was common knowledge in Tonopah during the early 1980's that something big and secret was going on at TTR, but the citizens kept silent about what they were seeing and hearing because TTR employees were a desperately needed source of revenue". I ask: fact or fiction (on several points)? Like Rachel is to Groom Lake/Area 51, Tonopah is to TTR. Does anyone here know anyone who lives in the town of Tonopah?
