I've just had a look at my chart and with the figures given I'd say it was at
3 miles inside California,4 miles from Highway 29,7 miles north of Death Valley jct on 29.
Basically go up 29 for 7 miles from DVJct,on your left4 miles away should be where the Hornet went down, the land looks pretty flat close to the Amogorsa River.
