There was 22 F-117 aircraft that were "retired" to storage at TTR. Four others are in museums, one was scrapped, and one was lost during the Kosovo War.

Upon operational retirement, some or all of the aircraft were flown from Holloman to Palmdale to be prepped for long-term storage (and prepped for purposes of maintaining the aircraft for use in future operational flight testing??). It is clear that at least one F-117 is flying again.

Steve Douglas proposes the interesting (but highly unlikely) possibility that the aircraft are back in use again test flying for a specific (military) operation?! Don't think soo....
