Without getting too picky here, Sunrise Mountain is the mountain immediately to the south adjacent to Nellis AFB. It is located north of Lake Mead Blvd. Frenchman Mountain is south of Lake Mead Blvd. and therefore does not border either of the two Nellis bases. It would seem to me that the nuke tunnel from Nellis II (f/k/a Lake Mead Base) would have to have gone into Sunrise Mountain and not Frenchman Mountain, which is 3 miles further to the south. As an aside, when looking across Nellis at Sunrise Mountain from the north, both mountains seem to appear as one big mountain, and since Frenchman is the taller of the two, both mountains from that view are oftentimes referred to simply as Frenchman Mountain. There are formal state recreational hiking trails to the summit of both mountains. summit
