Hangar 18

Although Hangar 18 was built to house one B-52H (one of two modified to carry and launch Tagboard), the hangar was and still is used for Lockheed projects. Built in the early eighties, the B-52H was used to launch Senior Prom stealth cruise missile, which look like Have Blue without a canopy; and also used to launch the Lockheed Hypersonic Glide Vehicle - which was about 30-ft long. Flight tests of the HGV was confirmed to me by the USAF, via a FOIA request. The Senior Prom continued some of the stealth test that were initiated by Have Blue. Both Senior Prom and HGV were recoverable (test articles) and used the Groom lakebed runway.
