My opinion:

After having researched clandestine flight operations, specifically those in the Nevada desert for many years, I believe that I can say without any doubt whatsoever that Peter Merlin is one of the foremost experts in this area. He is well published, both on the internet, and in hard copy. It is quite simple, should one care to do so, to verify many statements or assertions by Mr. Merlin by spending a few hours doing the research.

While I have no reason to either believe, or discredit Mr. Petty's assertions, I find it odd that anyone would attempt to discredit Mr. Merlin's statement of response in this forum, in this particular instance.

I believe everyone is entitled to their own opinion. If there is any substance to something, share it. Let the members of this community assist in bringing the facts to light. After all, isn't that the real reason why we all come here in the first place?
