I believe I met a member of the Sheahan family, who own the mine, very briefly at the Roadrunners event last year at the Test Site Museum. I was running a high fever, so my memory is a little cloudy. But I believe she said that they gave up or sold the rights to the mine. At least they no longer have free access to it. The coordinates in your other post are right on. The mine is outside the pre-1984 border, so I suppose until then they had more or less unrestricted access.
