I still disagree that all the stories surrounding the Aurora are false. The fact remains that something created massive sonic booms over Southern California in the early 90's and many people that seemingly had no apparent reason to fabricate a story have come forward to say they've seen something. The strange contrails aren't the proof that most believers would like you to believe they are. But Chris Gibson did see something in the North Sea in August 1989 that he couldn't identify. Does this prove the existence of Aurora? No. But the reported shape and configuration of what he claims to have seen lead one to believe that the possibility exists that it was indeed the aircraft in question. Something did fly over the Amarillo, TX home of Steve Douglass on March 23, 1992 that he couldn't identify and which produced odd shaped contrails. In February 1994 Chuck Clark said he videotaped the aircraft exit a hangar at Groom Lake and take off at 2:30 AM. Pair all that up with other sightings at Helendale, Beale AFB, and Edwards and who knows? It makes sense a replacement to the SR-71 would at the very least be investigated, right?
