Thats true in a lot of remote places. I have also heard the food at McMurdo and the South Pole research station have quite good food, at least to start out there winter with.

And some of the remote firefighting facilities such as Galena or McGrath Alaska, have chefs brought in for the summer, and serve outstanding food.

As Peter said, sometimes they have to do things like this to help make up for the remoteness.
