A couple of points need to be made here, firstly it is a military launch and the launch dates are highly changable. In fact this particular launch has been delayed 4 times so far (Oct. 23, Oct. 30, April and July 9) so the date will need to be confirmed closer in. I certainly would not plan an outing based upon it, but if you are in the area is is something I would check out. Secondly I am not from that part of the country, so possible some of the locals on here from out that way would be better able to tell you the good spots to catch a Vandenberg launch!
