I was just watching UFO program on the history international channel. i'm not going to go into a UFO/Area51/Alien type of thing but one thing somebody said did make me think a bit. a guy describing what sounded like a typical "stealth blimp" type of sighting made an off-handed comment of being "big enough to land a plane on". i do remember a long time ago there were attempts to hook airplanes onto blimps but they seem to have been abandonded. could the "stealth blimp" sightings be a revival of that type of idea? since there are so many guys here that know much more about aircraft than me... would there be any need for this type of aircraft? maybe something like mid-air drone refueling? i'm just wondering what the purpose of a stealth blimp type aircraft could be if it existed.
