The E-4 is a common sight at Patterson; there is a backup crew stationed there. There is also a Ground Entry Point for the wideband communications system (used by the NAOC, TACAMO, and AF1) located on base.

What day did you see it? These are the logs I have from April and May:

4/10: GORE 84 (E-4B, 73-1676) - arrival
4/12: VAST 41 (E-4B, 73-1676) - to KOFF
4/22: DOPEY 23 (E-4B, 76-1676) - approaches before landing
4/23: MILD 77 (E-4B, 76-1676) - to KOFF
4/29: CANA 89 (E-4B, 75-0125) - two approaches before landing
4/30: MOUSEY 74 (E-4B, 75-0125) - to IHD via APE > FFO 233/19 > HVQ 360/45, FL320 [round-robin]
4/30: MOUSEY 74 (E-4B, 75-0125) - approaches before landing
5/1: HILT 48 (E-4B, 75-0125) - departure
5/20: JENNY 41 (E-4B, 75-0125) - arrival
5/20: JENNY 41 (E-4B, 75-0125) - to KOFF
