during red flag last july (?) i noticed F22 planes seemed to dive out of the sun and catch other aircraft by surprise on more than one occasion. i mentioned this to someone i consider very informed and he mentioned that this tactic would be very useful for an aircraft with "active camouflage". when i pressed him a bit more about active camouflage he didnt want to discuss it further.

anyway, i found it interesting that they might be practicing the tactics even if the actual planes they are sitting in dont have that ability. but of course diving out of the sun is nothing new...
