Regarding money to run the site, I wouldn't object to more banners, though perhaps not on the discussion pages. Pop up windows are a real PITA, so please draw the line there.

I think the best solution is to get business grade DSL and a Linux server. The cost is high, but the storage is unlimited compared to an ISP.
