This is one of those things that I have loved researching on my own as well. The mentioned book is pretty good but I would suggest looking at the actual court case. The name of the case took place in the U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals under the name of Kasza v. Browner. There are other mentions of this that you can access through the FOIA. If I were more awake, I would post links to them.
