Keep in mind that the deserts vastness will play tricks on the eye (and the mind).....I was stationed at Nellis AFB in Vegas while in the USAF......As a result I traveled through the deserts going to and from Texas to Vegas.....
Once in upper Arizona, on the way to base, I noticed I could see Kingman in the distance....I figured I was close....NOT SO.....You can see lights a long, long, long way off out there.....
Some think the Marfa lights, in part, are cars on the highway coming from Presido(Tx)and Mexico beyond...
.....Others may be st. elmo's fire..?????...
