Actually experienced the exact same thing several years ago here in San Diego north county. 3 large air craft at a lower altitude than most other traffic (we are in the arrival airspase for LAX I believe), flying from east to west in a straight line at about a 10 second delay to eachother. President Bush visited around the same time give or take a day or two, however I think it was determined it was mid air refuelers out of March AFB. I remember it seemed very strange at the time. By the way, no drugs or other substances where taken at or near that time. Just thought I would throw that in there to spare the condescending approach. People wonder why more people dont say something when they see something interesting because they dont want to be personally judged or made uncomfortable.
