I checked my photos, and the dish was also pointed north during what I believe was a taxi test. Any ideas why they would point the dish north, when the test aircraft is right overhead? I doubt that the dish is a part of the regular radio link with the Bald Mtn. site. In that orientation it may be used for radar tests of something operating in the northern Emigrant Valley, NW of the base, and hidden out of sight by the Groom Range. Can you describe what kind of maneuvers the plane that you saw did?

I hope we get to see some more video clips of your recent expedition.
