Looks like jackrabbit tracks to me, but I could be wrong. Maybe it's a four legged alien after all... :-) As for the guard shack, I believe it is always manned by extra personnel. Most of the time there is a spare jeep or pick-up truck parked in front. Do you always get there at the same time? There used to be a shift change around 4pm. If you are there during a shift change, the new shift will pull up on cammo hill, and the guys that are being relieved drive back. Either to the guard shack, or to the security building at the base. If you got buzzed by an F-16 at the warning signs, it came out of Groom. Nice catch! Looking forward to your trip report!
