I've made a few trips out to Fallon. You're right, the departures and recoveries are impressive. However, the base security does not tolerate photography anywhere near the perimeter. I learned this the hard way. Here is a link to some good info about the ranges. Locations, usage, etc. I've ventured out to the mountains east of the Bravo 17 range and caught some high-altitude bombing action. I never heard or saw the aircraft. Unfortunately, I have yet to discover the low-flying hot spots within the ranges. Here is one of my photos of the bombing action. Those are tanks being targeted.
