UAV Testing in Southern Ohio

As you know, not all RCS testing is done at Groom. Here’s some news on moving testing away from Nevada:

Seems like everyone wants a piece of the UAV pie. I wonder how this plays with the new stuff at Groom? But, keep in mind that the System Program Offices (SPOs) (or Stupid People from Ohio – as they’ve been called) run ALL of the AF flight development programs. So, having the UAVs close to Dayton is a power grab effort. I wouldn’t expect the closing of Groom any time soon.

Just as an aside, even before the AF admitted publicly that a B-2 even existed, there was a sign outside an office at Wright-Patterson’s AF Systems Command (they own the SPOs) that said “B-2 SPO”. Not very bright. We need someone to cruise the hallways there looking for a B-2/B-3 SPO!
