I just got back from a weekend in Rachel. There is snow on all the mountains, so this time of year is probably not the best time. I'm not saying it can't be done but unless you're hard core, it probably wouldn't be a fun trip. Temperature in the morning was in the low 20s. Plus the atmospheric conditions were not the best with the weather...
