I wasn't going to say anything but the sound three of us heard was very unusual. And a little scary. We live 230 miles WNW of Creach in Ahwahnee. My wife was 5 miles away at work and heard it. Friday had the usual contrails and a little after noon there was a very loud roar, not like a jet on takeoff but the sound a rocket motor makes. I've seen and heard launches from Vandenberg. This thing sounded like it was right overhead then tapered off in intensity heading East. Of all the usual contrails we see this one had a tiny speck of an aircraft followed by billowing white exhaust plume. Radar box and scanners were at home, I wasn't. Watching from the West, 9thLife
