Thanks for the post. I can't say I can make out the sound in your clips, but I'll blame it on too much heavy metal when I was younger...
There were reports of people hearing what sounded like jet engines revving up and then suddenly cutting out near the GL Rd. gate a couple of years ago. Could it have been engine test runs? Or maybe it was from construction related to the improvements in that area? Next time you hear it out there, maybe a closer look from the top of Hawkeye Hill is in order...
