Interesting! Thank you for posting the photo here. Looks like the road up Cammo Hill is also paved now? Yes, it seems they are upgrading the GL Rd. Gate. My source, who first told me about the new power lines, said they were primarily installed to provide power for the Guard Shack, which is currently powered by a generator.

BTW: Some of our readers may not know that the road from Area 51 to the Rachel Back Gate (aka North Gate) has been paved for years inside the boundary. Just like now on GL Rd, the pavement ends where the road leaves the restricted area.
