Most defense contractors have a firewall security setting that blocks employees from reaching sites that are against company policy. Employees also sign a non-disclosure agreement where they agree to not discus any aspect of their work with anyone without proper authorization. At the higher security levels the employees have to pass lie detector tests as well as indepth background security checks. This includes providing information about all of your relatives going back several generations as well as all of your finacial transactions and history. An employee with a high security clearance can pretty much count on the fact that all of their email, phone, text, and web browsing is monitored. International travel history is also looked at closely.

As long as one can reasonably explain their behavior everything will go well.
