The A-12 was quite public.
The actual serious cost problem was to do with the material they actually made the aircraft with.
It was apparently tested at Pax River NAS (where the navy test most of their aircraft).

It was like Magoo mentioned, to replace the Venerable A-6 Intruder, but this has now taken place with the F/A-18 Hornet instead.

Has anyone seen the interesting concept that the French Dassualt company has designed?
A mini-scale concept was released by the chairman on 3rd October of a stealth unmanned aerial vehicle, which looks pretty awesome.
Top speed of the concept was quoted at Mach 0.5. Its 6.5ft long with a 7ft wingspan and weighs empty at just 35Kg.

Buy British Aviation magazine "Air Forces Monthly" for a picture and information on the air vehicle.
The picture shows a dorsel air intake, blended wing, twin outward canted tailplanes, delta type diamond designed wing which blends into a sharp angled forward fuselage.... Sort of double delta.
