When I was in the Second Marine Air Wing stationed out of Yuma Arizona, we would go yearly to the Dugway Proving Grounds to meet up with the 4th MAW HAWK missle Battalion out of California to support their unit practicing live firing of HAWK missles. It is the most god forsaken piece of earth. There is NOTHING near it. That is why it was one of the only places the USMC could live fire their missles. It was so bad that we had to drive in an entire truck load of beer just to make it through the exercises! There is a lot of NOTHING out there of interest to see!!!
