Nice photos Neonsky. The view up there is simply awesome. I got up there in a 2X4 Front wheel drive Jeep Compass rental. Ground clearance is more of an issue than traction.
Pat or Connie at The Inn can give you directions...it's not hard. Basically drive west out of Rachel via any of the streets and turn right on Valley Rd(Big Wide gravel road to the back Gate)go less than 3/4 mile and look for the 1st 2 track (just across from the 1st alfalfa farm close to the road on your right)to your left across the desert headed West. Go about 1~ 2 miles to a Fence/Gate. Pass through it(Be sure to close it behind you)and continue up a ravine bearing mostly to your right. Always follow the track most traveled and it will wind you up behind the mountain where the track loops around and carries you to the top. It is fairly steep but was easy in the 2X4 Jeep. You can camp....But please always leave it better than you found it....It is a VERY Special place. One visit and you will understand!
