As far as "Exactly where is it and how restricted is it?" take a look for yourself at http://www.serve.com/mahood/nellis/flight.jpg You can see the Korean Airfield in the upper left. That was the best map I could find. It is NOT feasible to visit this site at all! It is used for live bombing runs, everyday. I doubt anyone would stop you but unless you have a death wish don't attempt it. Yes, they do give tours of the Nevada Test Site but I don't think you get near many Nellis ranges. Maybe drive by a few on your way to various test sites. You can go onto Nellis AFB. Every Thursday they give tours of the Thunderbirds hanger. I'm not sure about any other tours. Maybe if you were once stationed there you could get permission for a tour of the base. My family and I did that at Cannon AFB in New Mexico, because my dad had been stationed there a long time ago. My final thought on this subject....I don't think you will find one person on this site that would condone walking to the Korean strip...it's just TOO dangerous and is trespassing. Don't be that guy! (hehe PCU quote)
