It has nothing to do with a few chosen few. It has to do with the fact that the people who report these unusual occurrences "forget" to bring a camera or the one they have with them "doesn't work" so we never have any hard evidence all what they saw. Some hard data to back some of these claims would prove the doubters wrong, without proof anyone can say anything.
