I have followed this group for a long time and always wanted to share this story.
In the late 90s I lived in the California high desert and routinely commuted the Cajon Pass.The area was not has populated as it is now.
One early morning coming up the 15 around 730am on a clear sunny day just about 3/4 of the way up I just happened to catch 5 or 6 silvery aircraft darting west to east just over the summit at very low altitude.
They were defintely small aircraft, but what left me wondering was the manner of flight, almost a fluttering method.
They passed quickly , skipping darting , over the hilltops
Small nimble aircraft , the only similiar craft I could campare to are artists sketches of the TR3 , without the black paint. This memory has stayed with me a long time, it happened so quick.I only wish I could have had a second look, as I knew then I saw something unusual.
