To test and calibrate sensors from UAV’s wouldn’t require a high-speed track. Applications I’m familiar with usually involved vehicles moving at less than 80kph. The vehicles just poke along while the UAV orbits in an offset track some distance from the target and follows it with optics, radar or targeting lasers. For military targets they don’t even use a track, as such. Speculating that they’re refining targeting on street vehicles to distinguish one from another with multiple targets or attempting to id faces or read vehicle tags from the UAV. Just wagging it, mind you. It is, as stated previously, so simple that it’s being over thought.
