Yeah, there are some pretty nice stitching programs out there as well as many variations in the way to do panoramas. I eliminate vignetting during the image stacking phase through the use of a flat-field image. Once the images have been corrected then I can take them into my pano stitching program.

The Panosaurus is pretty nice and I used one to take my 360 180 panorama at the top of Tikaboo Peak last year. I used a Peleng 8mm fisheye lens. Without one you have to deal with the inevitable parallax issues which would make the stitching of such a panorama difficult.
