All past and future panorama takers: Hugin is the name. Link: If I ever make it up the peak to see the view, I'll be sure to do a full 360° by 180° panorama to share with the site. Might help people get an idea of exactly what you can('t) see from that far away.
There's some really fantastic (free!) panorama stitching software available online- I'm having fantastic results with it thus far. Does a fantastic job of both stitching images and correcting for lens distortion. Open-source and ready for use on any major platform (not DOS only, sorry, a little newer than that)
