Joerg and Bill W. had mentioned that they heard what sounded like a tilt rotor plane in the Groom area. While I doubt there is a v22 osprey in the area, I checked the FAS website and found that there is a UAV with tilt-rotor design called the eagle-eye.

As a side note, we have norad flying over the SF bay area, active on 271Mhz. An EC2 is patrolling our no-fly zone. Something like 0.1% of a red flag. So far, no bombing runs.
