Well, look at that! I think you are on to something here. These two photos, one from our 2007 satellite inage, and the other from the current Google Earth coverage, seem to show the tower in two different orientations. The GE image was taken from an orbit north of the tower, while ours was taken almost right overhead. That may cause some distortion. But the orientation of the base of the tower just does not line up with the surrounding features in both images. I think you made an important discovery there, that may shed some new light on the function of the tower. Thank you for sharing this with the forum. Any thoughts?
